View Full Version : Xenoblade Chronicles X only works with single-core

I haven't seen many people talking about this but XCX is one bug away from finally being playable with reasonable specs. Unfortunately it cannot make use of the recent dual/triple-core recompiler.

My Specs:
CPU: Intel i5-2500K @ 3.2/3.8 Ghz
GPU: Nvidia 1060 6GB
Ram: 8 GB DDR3

Cemu: v1.11.3
Game: Xenoblade Chronicles X, Auto-Region
Game Version: v1.0.2
Problem: Xenoblade Chronicles X works when single-core is selected, but when attempting to use the dual or triple-core recompiler it refuses to even finish loading the main menu. It just shows a black screen.
Tried: Various CPU timers

Attached are the logs comparing single-core and dual-core usage. The only differences seem to be some different values with the diffs and freqs and that the dual-core stops after completing the "IOSU_CRYPTO" check rather than continuing on to "Init snd_core AX module" and beyond.

Most games cannot use the Dual or Triple core modes yet. Compatibility will be better in future versions of Cemu.
