    Cemu stops responding

Soo, I have been trying to use Cemu on my new computer since I got it in Early April, but everytime I try to load any game, it stops responding. Every single game goes into whatever frame that shows anything (for example, the Mario Kart 8 logo) and then Cemu just stops responding. Nothing I have tried works.

I included a video that shows exactly what I mean, cause it seems kinda hard for me to explain it without showing you......

A couple things I forgot to mention though:

    1. This emulator worked perfectly (at least as perfectly as I could get it to) on my old computer, which had pretty much the same specs, except it had Intel HD graphics, with the exact same file of the game.

    2. I have tried Smash Bros, 3D World, Pikmin 3, Mario Maker, and Mario Bros U as well (Though since this version came out I have only tried the two in the keys.txt file.)

Have you have a look in log.txt after it crash ?

Do you use the same settings than here : http://compat.cemu.info/wiki/Serfros...adeon_Settings ?

I didn't, but I tried changing to those same settings and it still had the same effect.

I got two log files here: One that was taken from the last attempt I recorded, and one that came from my attempt after changing AMD settings. I don't know if they'll be much different, if at all, but I included them both anyway.

Could you please try to install cemuHook @ https://files.sshnuke.net/cemuhook_1121_0565.zip and download/install its fonts ?

Darn, I was really hoping that would work (I really thought it would too). I tried installing it before, but now I realize I didn't do it right, but now, as I made sure I did it right this time, it still has no change.

I didn't see you're launching wud files with 8Go of RAM.
Maybe is the point : WUD file is an uncompressed (or low compressed) format and is a lot bigger than WUX or RPX format (loadiines one) : http://compat.cemu.info/wiki/Serfros...t_Piracy.21.5D

After the shader compilation and the game loaded, all data is loaded in RAM.
What is the size of your WUD files ?

Could you monitor your RAM when launching a game ?
If you see you're running out of it, try to increase your windows pagefile (file used by windows to simulated RAM on your HDD, currently @5Go -> @10Go to be sure) or try with a WUX or RPX format.

^I doubt the final RAM Cemu uses is affected by the source files since it always uses uncompressed data internally anyway.

It depends on how the WUD file is opened... if not the whole file is loaded in RAM when read it (read just a few chunks at a time and process them) but as we don't have access to source code, impossible to say... depend on the size of the chuncks used

Btw, i think you're right and it seems to be a wrong track (game manage to boot so the file might be successfully read).

@ReflectedMantis : you can still try with increasing your pagefile to be sure that is not related to RAM use.

It's not impossible to say; run a compressed game and then run it uncompressed. I doubt Cemu will use more RAM when in-game in the end since whatever it needs during gaming should be always same and if the implementation is efficient it should do atomic reads instead of keeping the data bank always open which might waste a lot of ram unecessarily.

I also think it is done that way since CEMU looks very well optimized, i can't imagine the opposite.
And as WUD file's size is about 10Go or more, reading without using chunks (entirely load in RAM) seems to be difficult...

CEMU crashes for OP just after loading the game.

I totally agree when in-game, i was talking about reading the file and i'm not sure the RAM consumption is the same on the loading sequence : data needed to be accessed is "splitted" in files in RPX format while WUD file is a huge binary file. For me, it depends on how efficient the WUD file reading process is.

I always use RPX format, i didn't keep a WUD file and the RPX structure for a same game to make a benchmark.
